Wow! Oceans of Sand has been out in the world for about a month now, and what an incredible month it has been. Publishing a book has been a dream my whole life, and sometimes I still pinch myself to make sure it's really happening! This month has been so full, and I've heard from so many wonderful people how much they love my book. I have been overwhelmed with gratitude and joy.

So many amazing things have happened this month. I was a guest on several podcasts, which has been so fun. I love talking about my book.
I hosted two launch parties - one in Missouri (my home) and one in Utah (where I grew up). Both were just AMAZING. To be honest, I am not really a party person. (I know, I'm the cliche introvert writer.) But both parties were just SO fun, and I received an overwhelming amount of support.
I did two books signings, and I have one more this Saturday! (July 29th from 11 AM to 2 PM at Barnes and Noble, Mid Rivers. 320 Mid Rivers Center Drive, St Peters, MO 63376.)
My first ever book signing was at the O'Fallon Family YMCA, where I teach fitness classes, and it was an enormous success. The second was at Barnes and Noble in Orem, UT while I was visiting family. Oh my gosh. Just to be signing my books at a B+N was an absolute DREAM, but it was such a success and I sold so many books that they're going to carry my book in the store! Wow. I was just overwhelmed with joy.
I've received an absolutely incredible amount of love and support from my friends on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Thank you to all you've posted and shared about Oceans of Sand!
It truly has been the most incredible month. One of the highlights was seeing my oldest son, my precious child, reading and enjoying my book. It brought tears to my eyes. This is one of the reasons that writing clean books is so important to me. I want my kids to be able to read what I write.
