Hi, all! What's been going on with you?
Life Update
Here's a rundown of my four darlings and what they're all into/up to -
Gwen is 3 and is going through a bit of a sour patch kid stage right now. (She's sour then sweet. LOL.) We love her to death and her little kisses are just the best! She hates having her hair brushed, and most mornings I end up chasing her through the house with detangling spray and a hairbrush.
Owen is 5 and he'll be starting Kindergarten this fall. WHAT?? I will miss that little guy! He is the sweetest big brother and takes such good care of his little sis. He always tells her how cute she is, how adorable, etc. He is obsessed with a game called Battle Cats and spends a lot of his time playing it or drawing the different battle cats and taping them up in his room.
Grant is 7 and he's in first grade. He listens so well and is super responsible. He spent 15 minutes the other morning staring out the window, watching for the bus so he wouldn't miss it. He's a sweetheart and very in-tune with the feelings of those around him.
Sam is my oldest and is 9. He LOVES Legos and is a whiz at building them! We just got back from Legoland where we went for his birthday. He loved it! He is also reading way above his age level. We got him the whole set of Harry Potter books for his birthday and he's tearing through them (already on number 3!). I'm so proud of that kid!
Writing Update
I've got a lot of projects in the air right now. I am still just over-the-moon excited that Oceans of Sand will be in your hands this June!

I just got my editor's notes on Dunes of Water (Oceans of Sand 2!!!) Oceans of Sand wraps up nicely and can be read as a standalone, but I have a feeling you're going to want the second one sooner rather than later :)
The last project I'm working on is a novella called The God Heist, and I'm going to self-publish it so I can give it to you all for FREE! That's right, it's going to be a subscriber bonus! Another reason to point people toward my email list.
The God Heist is set in the Oceans of Sand world but happens generations before the events of Oceans of Sand. It is a suuuuper fun heist story, and I know you will love it! Draft 2 is done (YES!) and I'm going to give it one more pass before I send it off to my critique group and editor.
